In this paper, a two-dimensional (2D) displacement sensor based on the diagonal symmetry complementary split-ring resonator (CSRR) structure is proposed. The one-dimensional (1D) initially developed by etching ring ground plane, and triangle metal patch used as mover. When mover attached, CSRR formed, thereby inducing resonant frequency. of can be retrieved variation in Then, extended for designing 2D sensor. To further reduce error caused lateral displacement, shape optimized using particle swarm algorithm. Finally, simulated analyzed, physical prototype made. measured results are consistent with theoretical analysis, its sensitivity 160 MHz/mm.
